About

The ‘Willow Eatery’ opened in April 2013, and is now run independently by Lindsay Chaplin of Lindsay’s Cakery with the help of some family members and dedicated staff. Willow Eatery runs as a separate business alongside the Willow Gallery CIC art gallery and gift shop, however the businesses compliment each other making it the perfect place to relax with great food and enjoy local arts and crafts all in one place.

Willow Eatery is mainly about the food, hence the name Eatery, and not a coffee shop; It incorporates the sweet treats and savoury delights of Lindsay’s first business Lindsay’s Cakery, as well as simple, fresh home-cooked lunches, locally sourced quality ingredients where possible and an ever expanding range of delicious drinks. We are licensed too so a limited selection of bottled beer, cider, wine and spirits are available upon request.

Willow Eatery offers a scrumptious Afternoon Tea for Two (or more!) or you can now upgrade to a Prosecco Afternoon Tea if you want some bubbles – advanced booking required. More details can be found here.

The lunch menu does vary slightly, so the display cabinet or chalk-boards have the days’ options. Lunch options mostly include chunky vegetarian quiche, vegetarian/gluten-free/vegan soups, locally sourced pies and sausage rolls, toasted filled panini or flatbread with a selection of fillings, gluten-free/vegetarian pastryless quiche plus occasional specials.

The staff at the Eatery all love food so we are constantly preparing and baking in our tiny kitchen to provide tasty treats for you all to enjoy. Due to this, orders are to be placed and paid for at the counter when you are ready, and these will be brought to your table.

Takeaway options are available, and an increasing deli item selection including local free-range eggs are available.

You can also order the lovely celebration cakes  and delicious buffets for any occasion made by Lindsay’s Cakery at the Eatery counter by asking to speak to Lindsay.

The space at The Willow Gallery and Willow Eatery is also available for hire for private catered functions along with the separate Dunbabin room, so please contact us if you are interested in using our space for private meetings or celebrations and we can try to cater to your requests.

‘Evenings at the Eatery’ are themed cuisine nights see keep an eye on our News page for info on these events.

There are also ‘Live at the Willow’ events held at the gallery with live musicians chosen by the Willow Gallery management. At these events, food is available for ticket holders only between 6.30pm – 7.00pm with bookings and pre-orders essential for meals, and drinks served all evening until 10.30pm.
